“Are my clothes asking for it?” is a series of images using clothes to bring awareness to sexual harassment/assault. The series of images that can be seen are a set of photograms taken within a darkroom using an enlarger and photographic paper. These images were inspired by Joy Gregory who also used photograms to recreate the ideals of beauty. The idea behind the lacy/revealing clothing is that women wear these on a daily basis but if they are attacked then their clothes are to blamed because “they were asking for it”.
